Project "Monitoring of the implementation of Government Human Rights Action Plan (2016-2017)

The primary goal of the project is to monitor the implementation of the first five chapters of Governmental Action Plan on the Protection of Human Rights (2016-2017) – Criminal Justice, Right to Fair Trial, Prosecutor’s Office, Protection of Human Rights in Penitentiary, Fighting Torture and Other Forms of Ill-treatment. The project is aiming at supporting the successful implementation of the Action Plan. To this end, concrete recommendations to the relevant governmental bodies, centered on the harmonization of Georgian legislation with international standards, will be elaborated.

In order to assess the implementation process, the project proposes an innovative methodology based on quantitative, as well as qualitative approaches. Each interested individual will be able to follow the implementation process in online regime.
