On February 1-2, 2014, in Telavi, NGO Georgian Democracy Initiative held a training for students about the prohibition of discrimination and the right to private life. The training participants discussed the mechanisms of protection of the right to private life, international standards and domestic legislation, signs of discrimination, and norms that provide protection from discrimination. The training was led by specialists of human rights law, Giorgi Mshvenieradze and Besarion Bokhashvili.
The training was held in the Telavi Center for Civic Engagement and was attended by 24 young people.
The discussion was held in the framework of the “Support to the Advancement of Human Rights in Georgia” project. The project is funded by the government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
