Sergey Meskhi (1845 - 1883) is a Georgian writer, publicist, and journalist.
He played a big role in the socio-political life of Georgia and became one of the leaders of the so-called “Meore Dasi” group, whose representatives advocated the accelerated socio-economic development of Georgia by creating national industry and the development of trade.
Meskhi acted as a publicist, his works concerned the theory and practice of literary criticism, folklore, drama and theater, the purity of the literary language and etc.
