Georgian Democracy Initiative has released the Newsletter for February 2015, which deals with important events and issues of the aforementioned period in terms of protection of human rights.
The newsletter concerns the situation in penal institutions, NGO statement concerning pressure from government, termination of employment on grounds of political view, violation of presumption of innocence by prosecutors’ office, annual report of European Court of Human Rights, restriction for foreigners to acquire agricultural lands in Georgia, annual report of Transparency International. The newsletter also reviews important changes and novelties that were implemented in the Georgian legislation in December 2014.
