Discussion in Zugdidi about the prohibition of discrimination and the right to private life

On April 14, 2014, NGO Georgian Democracy Initiative held a discussion for students about the prohibition of discrimination and the right to private life in Shota Meskhia State Teaching University of Zugdidi. The discussion participants talked about the culture of tolerance, the principles of equality, and legal mechanisms for ensuring equality and eliminating discrimination.

The discussion was led by specialists of human rights law, Giorgi Mshvenieradze and Besarion Bokhashvili.

The aim of the discussion was to contribute to raising of young people’s consciousness of human rights, tolerance, prohibition of discrimination, and ensuring equality.

 

The discussion was held in the framework of the “Support to the Advancement of Human Rights in Georgia” project. The project is funded by the government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
